Lead and perform advanced vehicle upfitting, including installation of electrical systems, lighting, communications equipment, storage solutions, and specialty components.

Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to execute precise installation

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical and integration issues

Oversee and ensure quality control standards are met across all upfit projects

Mentor and train junior technicians

Coordinate with sales and management to meet customer requirements and deadlines

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies

Perform final inspections and functional testing of completed vehicles

Recommend process improvements, tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and quality

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree or technical certification preferred)
• 5-10 years of experience in vehicle upfitting, automotive, fleet or related technical field
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or equivalent
• Prior use of ShopMonkey software

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly rate between $35 - $60 per hour based on experience
